Honestly, this is the best baby product I've ever purchased. I got the extension, too, so it takes up a big chunk of our living room, and it's PERFECT for our little crawler. We put some cushy rugs on our hardwood so that she doesn't get hurt when she topples, and the space is big enough that we go lie down and play with her. Best product ever. Right up there with the Ergo Baby Carrier.

Great idea. Snaps together quickly and is very sturdy. Also works for small dogs. We also use it to block off the living room from the kitchen which has a 9 foot gap.
Superyard XT Gate Play Yard December 22, 2008
This makes a GREAT gate and play yard! We used it around our Christmas tree to keep our 1 year old away from it.. it stretches out to block off our entire great room entrance... it also makes a wonderful play yard for when you need time to get the house cleaned without having to work around a young child. Highly recommended for those with toddlers (and crazy pets, too)!!

The yard is preassembled and ready to use out of the box.
It is a bit difficult to open and close the "doors" so we end up striding over them.
It is easy to turn the play yard into a protective fence around undesirable parts of the house - very helpful function.
It is very easy to move the yard around unless it is fastened to the wall, but so far this has been a life saver for our little one. A few times there were some tumbles against the plastic gates, but most of these would have been significantly more dangerous without it.
On the design - it looked garish, but we hung a number of toys on the gate and it looked much more kid friendly and interesting for our little man.
Large enough for an 18 pounder to roam - we are waiting to see how much use we get out of this now that he has learned to pull himself up to a standing position and to march around the gates holding on them. Although the entire construction shakes it supports him quite well so far.

This product is extremely good and very useful....well constructed, good design and very sturdy. Either used as a confined play area, or as barrier against areas you want to corner off from the child. Highly recommend this product.
