Designed for Rosenthal by one of the company's top design teams, Platt & Young, the pinball salt-and-pepper shakers enliven a table with a touch of the unexpected. The set consists of two shakers that nest together to form a sphere with a central post. One shaker approximates a doughnut shape in order to slip on and off the post shaker, which smoothly flares at the bottom to form a stable base. The doughnut shaker features a ring of holes for either salt or pepper, while the post is pierced with one hole at the top. The pinball shakers complement not only Rosenthal's all-white Gourmet Collection, but any number of dinnerware patterns that champion modern simplicity.
