Customer Reviews:
really tough to remove label... December 27, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got this for Christmas yesterday and haven't used it yet. The one star is because I've spent too much time trying to get the sticker off. So, whether it's a good can opener has yet to be determined. Finally got the label and sticky glue off through trial and error. The label has a clear plastic cover, which came off after being soaked in liquid dish soap and kept moist with paper towels waiting for the soap to take effect. Same to get paper sticker off. But the glue was another story. Eventually, went on-line and found a solution that worked. Spread butter on the glue and leave for 15 minutes. Then rub off with paper towel. Sheesh!
Very quiet. November 27, 2008 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I have always thought all can openers were the same, use it for a year or so and buy a new one.I think this one may surprise me,it seems to be built much better than the others I have owned,it has a much heftier feel to it and the quality of construction looks to be a notch above the last one I owned. One of the things that I like the best is how quiet it is in operation,it just hums along even with large heavier cans.It cost a bit more but I think it is definitely worth it.
