Product Description Whether you're starting up or starting over, the KitchenAid Hard-Anodized 10-pc. Cookset is the perfect kitchen staple. This metal pot and pan set features hard-base ceramic, nonstick interiors for outstanding food release, durability and scratch resistance and heavy-duty, break-resistant glass lids that sit firmly on the pots and pans. Each piece also features cool grip handles that provide a safe grip.
Amazon.com Review From KitchenAid's Gourmet Essentials line comes this cookware set made of hard-anodized aluminum. Durable, handsomely finished in matte charcoal gray, and known for its exceptional heat distribution and retention properties, hard-anodized cookware is a very popular choice for the home chef. KitchenAid embellishes these pots with stainless-steel handles, riveted for strength and wrapped with cushy, stay-cool silicone grips. The lids, made of break-resistant glass for optimum viewing, also feature silicone-wrapped handles, highly arched to enable easy grasping with a potholder or oven mitt. Both the pans and lids are oven-safe up to 400 degrees F. An excellent value, this 10-piece set consists of the most frequently used kitchen pots and pans and makes a great gift set. The two skillets, measuring 8 and 10 inches in diameter, handle everyday frying and sautéing needs, from eggs-over-easy to grilled cheese sandwiches to fish filets, then crepes for dessert. Three saucepans holding 1, 2, and 3 quarts let you boil a single egg, heat soup, and slow-cook a creamy risotto with wild mushrooms. The larger 6-quart stockpot with two loop handles works admirably for family-sized batches of pasta, chili, soup, and corn-on-the-cob. The nonstick finish releases food quickly and makes clean up by hand a snap. It's best to keep the nonstick cookware out of the dishwasher. KitchenAid covers the set with a one-year, hassle-free replacement warranty. --Ann Bieri What's in the Box 10-piece cookware set. The set consists of: 1-quart covered saucepan; 2-quart covered saucepan; 3-quart covered saucepan; 6-quart covered stockpot; 8-inch skillet; 10-inch skillet. 10 pieces total.

Great set of pans for the money! January 6, 2009 After having a set of cookware for more years than I care to remember, I finally decided to purchase a new set. This set is wonderful. It cooks fast and cleans up fast. And, so far, it is totally non-stick. I love it.
Kitchen Aid January 1, 2009 I am disappointed with these item that I purchased. The lid seems to leak on the sides of the pot and water flowing over the lid when boiling something and leaves a big mess on my stove top. It's been more than 10 years that I used same brand named and thought about trying this brand, first time to use kitchen aid cookware. The only thing that I like about this product is the nonstick coating on it and the frying pans. Overall, I will NOT recommend this if you do a lot of cooking and will use the pots that leaks.
Just OK December 29, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have had these for about a year now, received them for Christmas of 2007. They were never super-non-stick from the get-go, but better than my previous very cheap set.
My BIGGEST COMPLAINTS: 1) I don't think a lid exists ANYWHERE to fit the large skillet. None comes with the kit, and I have purchased (and had to return) every other manufacturer's lid for similar-sized pans that I can find. I have a universal lid with lips at varying sizes that I used on my old skillet - it won't even work! BIG drawback; I can only use foil to cover items I cook in this pan. 2) HATE that they are not dishwasher safe. After about 6 months of babying the set, I got sick of it and we throw them into the dishwasher about half the time now... figure it's not my dream set anyway, so we'll just replace when they fall apart. The outsides of these pans are extremely difficult to get clean, even before we started using the dishwasher (stains won't come off in the dishwasher or with elbow grease and hand-scrubbing).
Another minor complaint is that the angle of the slope on the skillet is not practical. My last skillet had very deep sides (this pan lacks), with a steep slope. When I would try to flip or stir items, or even scoop something out of the pan, the sides would help me keep the food on my scoop and in the pan. The angle of slope on this skillet unfortunately just eases food out of the pan, over the edge, and onto my stove. After a year's use I still haven't mastered a technique that will keep my food from landing on the stove!
Pleased with the purchase December 28, 2008 I am overall pleased with the purchase. It is non-stick, it's a breeze to wash and it looks pretty. I like the glass lids too. I love the size of the biggest pot. It's not too huge and I like that it has a bigger diameter than the usual stock pots. It is true that the smallest pot can tip over if empty because the handle is heavier than the pot. But if you place it properly on the stove so that the handle is supported, it works fine. I would also appreciate a 12 inch pan but the sizes included (10 and 8) are common in other sets too.
Very good product December 8, 2008 This is an excellent cookware set. The best one I had so far. Although there are more expensive and better quality sets on the market this one is a good value for the money. Love hard anodized cover-it is still like new with no dirty spots or scratches ( I have used the set for about 5 months so far).
