Amazon.com Review With a heavy glass bottom and a handsome satin-finish 18/10 stainless-steel top, this syrup/honey dispenser has a quality feel. Pressing a thumb on its stout spring-loaded lever opens the spout. The dispenser holds about 1 cup, stands 5-1/2 inches high, has a plastic gasket beneath the top for a tight seal, and (except for the gasket) is dishwasher-safe. If you'd like a matching set, WMF also makes a sugar dispenser, creamer, and cocoa/cinnamon shaker. --Fred Brack

Elegant, functional, well-made product January 3, 2009 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The only sweetener I use much is honey, so it is left out a lot. This is perfect for that use as it is so attractive -- but it is also functional as it makes honey easy to pour without ugly, messy drips all over the container and countertop. I also have the WMF stock pot and find they make top quality products.
dripless? maybe... December 30, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We've owned this item for two years. It allows a drip free pour if you have free flowing liquid (i.e., not unheated honey during winter months) and patience to hold the container just right to keep liquid from settling on the rim before closing the lid. It's not hard to do but the effort gets old after awhile - especially if you have a thick liquid which takes time to flow back into the container or if you have a life and better things to do than wait for honey or syrup to drain backwards. I believe it's more technique than the device and could just as easily be accomplished with a dispenser less than half the price. We now store ours in the pantry on a folded square of paper towel because the bottom inevitable becomes sticky from the drips.
Does not drip or leak, but does stick a little. December 6, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This dispenser is definitely the best I have ever seen or used. It has a very solid construction and an appealing contemporary look. The previous dispenser I used for maple syrup inexplicably leaked all the time, and of course, dripped after pouring. There has never been a drop spilled from this dispenser. Thanks to the smart design of this dispenser I have never experienced a single leak or drip, and there is no skill to it. I only have two minor issues. First, occasionally syrup dries inside the spout opening which the results in a sticking effect when releasing the spout. Lastly, getting the right amount to come out when pouring is a little tricky. Due to the spout design it seems that when tilting nothing would come out, and then all of a sudden it starts pouring. These are minor gripes, but worth noting.
THIS IS THE BEST YOU'LL EVER FIND!!!!!! May 9, 2008 I absolutely love this syrup dispenser. It is of great quality and easy for anyone to use. I have had the typical diner type of dyspensers but hated how the syrup would leak at the top, dry out,and the next time you were to use it, the area where you have to press to dispense would be stuck. This NEVER happens with this one. The amount of flow is also EASILY controllable. I really love it!!!! Since this product is so good, I'm here again to buy the sugar dispenser also. If you must be nitpicky,a TINY bit of syrup sometimes ends up on the top SIDES but it's not a big deal. It NEVER affects the mechanism from freely moving and it does not drip. Just wipe or rinse this area....E..A..S..Y.... you won't find better. It is the best!!!!!
Does the job well March 26, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a pricey and effective kitchen tool for those using honey or other thick syrups regularly. It is attractive, does the critical job of preventing spills or sticky build-up. It is smaller than I would wish and the price is really over the top. It just doesn't have any great competition.
