Product Description The filter used with this system has been certified by NSF International, a testing authority for water filtration products, and reduces copper and eliminates 99% of lead in tap water. Using activated carbon as well as an ion exchange resin, it also reduces chlorine, bad tastes, odors, and sediment--making it a lot easier to drinkthe recommended eight glasses of water a day. It comes with one filter, lasting approximately two months, and the pitcher is clear with a white top.
Amazon.com Review This pitcher combines Brita's reliable filtering with a very convenient narrow shape and flip-top lid for easy refills. To operate, simply flip the lid and fill the water reservoir, then wait a couple of minutes for it to filter through. Great pitcher, slim size, but a bit tall January 2, 2009 This is a great pitcher. Better then the round style, its narrow and takes up very little space. I like that it has a little flip door at the pouring end as well as a flip up refilling section. My only complaint is that it is a little bit too tall and I have to lift the shelf up to fit it.
Careful not to over-fill November 23, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love this product, and use it daily in the store I own. This is how my employees and I get our filtered water - saving the environment from all the plastic bottles, and my bank account from premium delivery service!
The only reason I give it a 4 star rating is because if you over-fill the top, or even fill it to where I believe is the correct level and hold it slightly tipped toward the back, it will leak out the handle area up on top. I know it does this, so I watch it...but my employees are not always so careful. If it were more contained in this one area, it would be a perfect product.
The cap needs to stay on better July 22, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I love the flavor of the water and the ease of use but the cover needs to be tighter. If all the water hasn't been filtered through and you go to pour through the spout, the cap comes off and a mess ensues.
Ten years and still going! July 5, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
My Brita filtering pitcher, made from non-leaching plastic, is at least ten years old. Changing the filter is a breeze and when situated on the counter, is convenient to refill. Each filter last 4 to 6 months and I drink A LOT of water! The Brita water pitcher is voted a GoGreenMart&More product of the week.
But there are other green ways to get your daily water intake. Many fruits and vegetables are portable, self contained water sources naturally high in vitamins and fiber. For example, oranges, apples and carrots are 85 - 92% water, a bowl of cereal with milk contains up to 87% and pasta absorbs lots of water during cooking.

saves me money June 5, 2008 I used to buy bottled water to take to yoga or martial arts training. Now I just filter and use my own bottle. Saves $2-3 a pop. Water tastes clean.
