it's the price, not the world view of the seller July 4, 2008 I'll save $5.00 while ignoring someone's 1950's chauvanism. They can send Lucy out to vacuum in her cocktail dress for all I care.
Product description sucks... March 25, 2008 1 out of 7 found this review helpful
I was about to add this item to my cart when I read the Product Description. Wow! I haven't seen that sort of outright chauvinism in advertising in a long time. "Desperate housewives, you're all set now, relax!" I'm planning to buy mine from Stacks and Stacks and never purchase anything from Handy Gourmet again. Handy Gourmet could learn something from reading over the product description from Stacks and Stacks which simply describes the product without insulting their potential customers.
Just what our kitchen needed December 30, 2007 While I agree with the reviewer who was griping about the screws, the overall effect in our kitchen is great. This is definitely more sturdy than the wooden organizer that this replaced. It won't warp like the wooden one did. It is working out great. However, the screws were a pain to deal with. That is all.
This rack organized the kitchen beautifully November 13, 2007 My mom moved to a tiny assisted living apt, and she is so short she couldn't even reach the lowest cabinet shelves. This rack enabled us to have a place to keep a few cups and glasses she could use, a place to dry them after washing, a shelf and holder for paper towels. It works just beautifully, everything was all over the burners until we got this.
It's not that bad... June 12, 2006 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
In response to the first review:
Everything was included, and I had my unit asssembled with little difficulty over the space of 10 minutes. That being said, the instructions were anything but clear (I didn't use them, I simply looked at the picture on the box). It took some guesswork to figure out what went where, and how. Also, the tolerances aren't so great, so the corners don't end up being square, which might partly explain the comment in the previous review that the holes don't line up.
All that being said, I feel this was a decent solution to my problem: I needed a paper towel rack and a dish drainer. And it is certainly NOT "impossible" to assemble.
