Great bottle warmer July 16, 2008

I bought this product to carry hot water to warm my baby's bottle while I'm out since portable bottle warmer options are pretty sad. I boil the water and fill it half way. Couple of hours later, I open the lid and it's still steaming hot and warms up his bottle way faster than the electric bottle warmer I have at home. It's slim and small enough to fit in the diaper bag. I was somehow thinking 16oz was bigger cause I wanted to use it for food after my boy grows out of bottles, but I am a big eater and this would only hold a snack portion for me. :) But it would be great for can of soup or chilli since it keeps things piping hot for hours. After about 5 hours though, water was only lukewarm.

My biggest concerns when looking for a food thermos were size, as I wanted to be able to pack a healthy serving size, and how long food would actually be kept hot. This product exceeds my expectations in both areas. In addition, is has a very clean and simple looking design and is easy to clean.

I soak my steel oats in boiled water in it overnight. I heat it up in the morning and transfer the food back to the thermos. It remains warm for hours. To give you an idea, I set it up at 0545am and I usually eat my breakfast at 0930-10am.

My husband is a telephone lineman in Alaska and works year round. This is the only thermos that has kept food piping hot 6-7 hours after preparing. I have tried to purchase more and have been unsuccessful. If you find a 16 oz thermos by Nissan buy it! you won't regret it.
