My old oven mitts wore out; I burned my finger through a hidden hole in the padding. So I went looking for new ones online, and was faced with 9000(!) choices. I eventually selected these, and I'm glad I did every time I use them.
They always do the job -even if I set my oven 150 degrees hotter than usual for an odd recipe. And the extra couple inches of length covers my forearms so there's no chance of burning myself, not even with the occasional awkward equipment setup.
