Removing corn kernels from cobs has never been easier. The OXO Good Grips Corn Stripper features a container that catches the kernels as they are stripped from the cob. Simply push the Corn Stripper down the length of the cob and the kernels collect in a convenient -cup capacity container. Turn the cob and continue stripping until all kernels are removed. I'm glad I read other people's comments about how sharp the blades are. I had no problems at all, but it pays to be careful taking it apart when you are first using it - I can see how carelessness could be painful. We have access to a wonderful farmstand next to a cornfield, so we get absolutely fresh corn in season, and always stock up the freezer. This made this year's supply go so fast it was amazing.
We parboil the corn on the cob before we strip it to freeze, and the half-cooked kernels practically leapt off the cobs.

Worth every penny.....at least 5 times faster than a knife....and at least 5 times easier. Easy to use, easy to clean up....my kind of tool.

The item never came, but they gave me a credit on my credit card. Wished I could have gotten it, even if I had to wait a while.

The Oxo corn stripper made short work of my leftover grilled corn-on-the-cob. It was a quick and neat way to get corn off the cob and into freezer bags so we can enjoy it this winter. Other than a minor nick to a finger that got in the way, this tool did a wonderful job, and I would recommend it. Just keep those fingers out of the way!

Born and raised int he south, corn is somewhat of a Summertime obsession for me. Now that I live in Illinois, its even more so. I bought this item because of all the splatter and mess that comes with using a knife or mandolin to remove kernels from the cob. Once again OXO comes through with a wonderfully simple and efficient product. There is still some splatter, but I don't have to wash down the walls and floor when I'm done. Four strokes down a cob and all kernels are off! The first time I used it I was actually speechless for a moment. Surely it couldn't be THAT easy, can it? Well, it is!
A great kitchen gadget and okay, its a unitasker, but its one I can live with. Do be careful of the blades though, they are sharp!
