Product Description Green Gourmet hard-anodized pans feature an aluminum alloy core and exclusive nonstick surface that's ceramic- rather than petroleum-based, so it helps to conserve existing oil reserves. Handles are made from 70% recycled stainless-steel and Green Gourmet conducts heat so well, it's more energy-efficient too. Even the manufacturing process uses less energy than others. No conscientious cook should be without it.

Try it, you'll like it January 6, 2009 I've had a set of Cuisinart stainless pans for over 20 years. They're like tanks, indestructible. But you need a non-stick for eggs and such, so I've gone through 3 Scanpans. They may have a lifetime guarantee but that's about 18 months. They're good but they rapidly lose their slickness. I recently saw Cuisinart's entry into the ceramic non-stick world so decided to give it a whirl. It's really slick and at the price, I'm very pleased with it. If it lasts 18 months, it won't owe me anything and I'll be a happy girl.
Happy so far January 6, 2009 I bought this because I was concerned about using regular non-stick b/c of health concerns since they scratch so quickly. I've had this for a couple weeks and used it numerous times and am very happy with the non-stick quality. You do have to hand wash it and treat it good, but so far so good.
Best Pan Ever! December 28, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My sister-in-law had this pan and I liked it so much that I immediately went out and got the small (8") skillet for myself. That was about 3 months ago and the Cuisinart quickly became my favorite pan - I tossed my old non-sticks, kept my Le Creuset & cast iron for specialty items, and proceeded to use the Cuisinart almost exclusively. I asked for the bigger (12") skillet for xmas and am thrilled with that one too - I especially love the helper handle for heavier items.
What do I love about the non-stick hard anodized pans? 1. The surface is so slick that almost no butter or oil are needed. I fry eggs in this with no butter at all - just straight egg - and it fries up beautifully and slides off the pan. Ditto grilled cheese sandwiches. I love using less fat to cook for my family. 2. Clean up couldn't be easier - I run it under the water and pass the dish scrubber over it maybe once. Often I am lazy and just wipe it with a paper towel. 3. Cooking is excellent - that hard anodized surface is a great conductor of heat and I find that everything cooks quickly and evenly. 4. Handle stays cool. 5. It goes in the oven. 6. No teflon / yucky smell / nasty peelings
When don't I use it? Pretty much only when I want to blacken things - like onions. For those times the cast iron performs better.
Bottom line? Best pan ever.
eggstreamly wonderful pan December 27, 2008 I purchased this pan for one reason, to cook eggs. And it does a great job, with virtually no cleanup required. Just rinse, and wipe it out with a paper towel, or dish towel and your done. Although I cook my eggs with a little butter, I think you could cook them without any butter, or oil. Its that slick. Oh yea, the handle ? it dont get hot at all. You wont be disappointed, with this pan.
GC22-20 Green Eco Friendly cookware December 16, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
My wife says this is the best cookware she has ever owned in 40 years of cooking. She has had numerous non stick cookware from Calphilon to T-fal and she has always had to throw them away once the teflon coating started to show signs of wear. She will never go back to any of those and hopes this line of cookware is here to stay and just to be on the safe sign is ordered the complete set. Highly recommended.
