Amazon.com Review This 12-inch flat whisk is the ideal tool for whipping eggs. It's also designed to scrape up all the good bits when blending a roux or gravy. Calphalon's nonstick nylon kitchen tools are designed for safe use on all nonstick surfaces. A hole in the handle facilitates hanging on a peg or hook. Hand wash with mild detergent. --Fred Brack
Product Description Whisk the lumps out of sauces or gravies right in the pan with this specialty whisk. It's flatter profile allows you to reach into the angle of the pot or pan where side meets base.

A good product, but sometimes over priced January 18, 2007 It's as good as most decent wisks, but sometimes I've seen it over priced. Calphalon products are in my kitchen, some I like, some are OK. My other wisks work just as good and are lower priced in most cases.
Good for eggs! November 16, 2003 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I usually use this whisk when making eggs, and it works great! I usually rinse and stick it in the dishwasher, and so far I've had no problems with it. Highly recommend!
Great For Gravies & Roux July 29, 2003 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This whisk is basically for gravy and roux. Does even better than the oval whisk. It is true you have to use a large pan (10 - 12 inches) and large stock pots. However, when I make gravy or roux it usually is for a large crowd. It does have it's use in the kitchen, but you'll still need a round whisk. Two types of whisk in the kitchen are better than one. Even a tool workshop doesn't have one size and one type of screw driver. Depending on the task at hand, the craftsperson chooses the most appropriate tool for the task.
I love this! June 8, 2003 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I was looking for a fork to scramble a couple of eggs in the pan. I saw this, and just thought I might need it sometime. It turned out to be exactly what I needed for my eggs. Just a blessing, because I was stumped. A handy gadget.
ineffective May 5, 2003 5 out of 7 found this review helpful
I decided on this product because of some of the reviews I read. What a mistake. This is too flimsy to handle whisking. I have ruined several sauces because of its flimsyness (ex: carmel, hollandaise). It just barely came through an a light butter sauce. It really doesn't hold up to much of anything. Forget it for a roux. Its only effective funtions can be better done by other utensils. I am going to have get another different wisk. VERY VERY disappointed.
