I purchased these, not as a cutting board, but for a placemat for casual dining. The mats image is adorable and I have heeded others' that have warned against cleaning in the dishwasher. I am going to be using these for a long time, very sturdy and have a texture on the back that makes them stay in place.

Don't get it ANYWHERE near a heat source or it'll shrivel up like a prune and become unusable.
