Product Description Chicago Cutlery 2-Piece Walnut Knife Set Includes 5-in Utility & Boning Knife and a 3-in Parer. These are two great knifes that every kitchen should have! The Paring knife is great for cutting potatoes, veggies and fruits and the utility knife should never be too far from hand to cut through meats and other large foods. Sturdy Walnut Handles High-Carbon Stainless Steel Taper Grind Blades Individually Crafted With Full Tang for balance and strength & Solid Brass Rivets.
Amazon.com Review This invaluable two-piece set contains two of the most-used knives in the kitchen: a three-inch parer, for cleaning, peeling, removing blemishes on fruits and vegetables, and other delicate tasks; and a five-inch boning/utility knife, for trimming fat, de-boning chicken, cutting sandwiches, and other small- to medium-scaled cutting jobs. As a part of Chicago Cutlery's Walnut Tradition line of cutlery, these knives combine high performance with excellent value. Stamped rather than forged for lighter weight and a more reasonable price, they're made from high-carbon, 420 stainless steel with carbon to keep edges sharper longer and chromium to resist rust and stains, while Chicago's exclusive Taper Grind edge produces impressively precise slices and retains its sharpness well over time. A full tang extends from the tip of each knife to the end of the handle for improved balance and strength. Comfortable walnut handles offer the rich warmth of wood and a classic look; they're securely held to the blade with triple-compression brass rivets for added safety and stability. Chicago Cutlery covers their knives with a lifetime guarantee; they recommend hand-washing and drying for best results. --Mary Park

Exact Replacement September 25, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These exactly match a wooden block set that we've had for years. Being able to replace lost or damaged knives in a set make Chicago Cutlery a real value.
Great September 3, 2008 Can't beat the price on these two knives as a package. Not the high end knives but for the money, it is great
Need a good knife? August 2, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have a whole drawer full of knives, trying to find THE knife, the Chicago Cutlery knife is THE knife. The utility knife from the walnut tradition is my go to knife for everything, from cutting cheese to onions to peeling potatoes, it's the best ever! I have a few of them so there is one for everyone helping with the BBQ. I don't have a problem with them dulling.
Great product June 1, 2008 There were replacements for missing or damaged knifes from our current set. Just couldn't find replacements locally.
a case of personal preference. May 22, 2008 See my comment on the Chicago cutlery bakelit paring knife.
We think they are bargains in the kitchen knife business.
