I have wanted an asparagus steamer for a long time. I am so happy with this one! It is a perfect size! It can also be used for corn on the cob (small quantities).

This is my second one I have ordered. I really like the pot and its quality. The only thing I would suggest is not to store it with the basket insert inside the pot.I store it seperate.

this steamer is perfect for asparagus, pasta or other items that are tall.
the steamer heats quickly and evenly. It is a welcome addition to anyone's
collection of cookware. I would recommend it to anyone regardless of their
experience with farberware. It is a welcome addition to my collection of

This makes great asparagus, excellent actually. HOWEVER, used it probably 10 times before it started rusting inside. Just used plain water as instructed. The strainer is fine but the actual INTERIOR of the container is rusted and probably leaks rust into the water and into the food. Dangerous. And a waste of money if you can only use it 10x before it rusts.
