Good covered pot November 16, 2008 Pros: Keeps the micro explosions contained. Cheap price. Just a good micro covered plastic pot. Keeps some of the steam in.
Cons: This not a "pressure cooker" by any definition of the word. It will boil over and seep out from under the lid if you fill it too much.
Recommended for someone that just wants a covered micro pot with a secure lid, especially for dorm cooking where you can not have a real stove.
I made beef stew with it and it took an hour and 45 min. My real pressure cooker does it in 50 min.
Does the Job! October 28, 2008 I have a steel pressure cooker, but it is a pain to use to cook a small a small amount of vegetables, read a Amazon review, the writer was so happy with this product, had to try it. The price was right, my steel cooker cost about $140. Ordered it, it was a little slow in coming. It works really well, Made a mix of raw vegetable, they were cooked perfect to taste. If you are making only for yourself and a mate, this is a great microwave cooker.
BEST COOKING UTENSIL IN MILLION DOLLAR KITCHEN September 9, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
For anyone who lives alone or just another person, this is the greatest and fastest way to make foods which are flavorful, exotic and most of all very quick to prepare. I have a really grand kitchen in my home and like to eat in a lot but do not entertain except for a friend. I keep three of these around and have two microwaves built in.I make everything from paella, chicken and rice, chicken and dumplings, beef stew. ALL vegetables in two minutes, bratwurst and sauerkraut in 4 minutes with peppercorns and a bit of beer, nachos with shredded cheese in two minutes, invented a rice pudding, and reheats food in a minute.I keep two extras always because they get use, and give them as presents. The more expensive ones are identical.I recommend you have a fairly good microwave.
