Excellent all-purpose pan November 12, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this in place of the Gourmet Standard saute pan, which was given such high marks in Cooks Illustrated last year, but which is apparently no longer available. What I wanted was a sizeable cooking vessel that I could easily use on the stove top and in the oven. This certainly fills the bill. It is good-looking, heats evenly, has a helper handle, and has a much greater capacity than a saute pan, although it could be used as one. Plus, its price is much lower than a comparable All Clad. I'm very pleased with it. If not for its hefty weight, making it slightly cumbersome to carry any distance filled to capacity, I would have given it 5 stars.
Very Good October 4, 2008 A very nice pan, definitely worth the money. I read a review about things sticking and I wonder if that person knows how to cook properly (or could it be quality control?). I think it's almost non-stick and very easy to clean, especially if you deglaze. Exactly what I expected from an expensive stainless pan. I expect it to last for decades.
I bought this for my girlfriend January 15, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Great skillet for the money. I wanted a stainless skillet that you could grab a hold of the handle bare hands. So far I can grab the handle while using it on the stove, It sticks a little more than I thought, but so far it has been a good value. I dont think anyone who likes cooking with stainless will be disapointed.
