 Not so different from a cheap pot October 7, 2008
I've switched to tri-ply for saucepans and dutch ovens and thought Gourmet Standard's reputation for quality close to that of All-Clad (waaaay out of my budget) made it a safe bet, but honestly it doesn't even work as well as my Tramontina or Calphalon Tri-Ply. It takes a while to heat up, and seems to have hot-spots around the edges even on a low flame, and at almost double the price of a Cuisinart or other sandwich-bottom dutch oven, doesn't make the price difference worthwhile. If Amazon took returns on cookware that had already been used, I would return it.

I was very pleased with the quality of this product. I've looked in many stores and even purchased one, only to find it too small. This was was larger than my old dutch oven and even cooks better.
