I got one for my husband and he uses it while grilling. It is long enough to reach all areas of the grill without burning your hands. I often find myself sneaking it out and using it to baste meat in the oven - I don't have to pull items out and lower the temparature. It is diswasher safe so I can clean it and return it to his grilling tools stash before he notices.
The silicone spreads sauce evenly and does not melt at temperatures as low as other basting types of brushes.
My father in law was so impressed that he asked for one for Father's Day [...].
