Acacia Wood 14" x 14" plus handle Acacia Wood has an unusual property known as chatoyancy. It appears to change color and luster in diffrent lighting conditions. The wood can change from a light tan to a dark brown. Sometimes appearing similar to Walnut and sometimes more like teak.

 a little thicker than expected but beautiful November 16, 2008
This pizza peel is a little bit thicker than I was expecting, or perhaps more importantly, has a less tapered edge than I was expecting, making it a little difficult to remove pizza with the peel but I have had good luck sliding pizzas off my stone with a spatula and this is a really beautiful peel, perfect for serving.

Works well; I was worried that wood wouldn't work as well as stainless steel but it does and is beautiful to boot.

This is a very good looking peel. Light-weight, but sturdy and easy to use. Just the right size. I would buy this item again.
