Product Description 5 Piece White Acrylic Butyl Styrene Mandolin Multi-Slicer.
Amazon.com Review As a low-cost alternative to a metal professional-grade mandoline, this versatile tool will appeal to novice cooks bent on creating uniform fruit and vegetable slices for salads, pies, tarts, and garnishes. Snap four different plates in and out of the tool to quickly produce thin (but not paper-thin), medium, and thick slices; grate coarsely or finely; julienne; and make shoestring-size french fries. A round guard grips foods while protecting your fingers as you push foods over cutting or grating edges. A handle on one end and nonskid "feet" on the other provide countertop stability. Hand wash. --Fred Brack

Multi-slicer November 29, 2008 I have used it sparingly but it does a good job with tomatoes. Watch out that you don't cut your fingers. Very sharp!.
Works well for the price July 14, 2008 Again, you get what you pay for. My middle finger is still healing from a nasty cut. I have never used a mandolin before but the ones I see chefs using are much nicer with a chute device to hold the veggie so you NEVER have to nick your finger. It works good enough for what I need it for though.
The Happy Slicer... July 2, 2008 I love this item.I've only used It a couple time so far.It did a nice job shredding cabbage for coleslaw and slicing onions for burgers. It's a fun item to use.
Mandoline Slicer June 18, 2008 I purchased this item to make shoestring sweet potatoes. It doesn't cut the potato all the way through so that I have to separate all the little pieces. Very annoying. I have to use a lot of pressure to get it to pass over the blade. Cheap price. Cheap product. Pay a little more and get a better one. Wish I did.

My wife loves fried potatoes. It was a pain in the a** cutting them by hand. This slicer works great! Slices VERY quick. Blade is very sharp. Easy to clean. Great price!
