I *really* like this mat! I had a Tupperware Mat before and it was just a plastic mat that just slid around like crazy, this one does *not*. I really love the heaviness of this mat and the fact that it is plenty big, has measurements along the bottom, so if something needs to be a half of inch thick I don't have to run get a ruler...it is all right on the mat. Easy peesy to clean, very nice! Rolls up really nicely, very easy to store. You can even just lay it across your dishwasher rack if you don't want to wash it by hand, though cleaning it by hand is very easy.
I just don't think they get much better than this, absolutely worth every penny paid.
Just what I was looking for September 30, 2008
I needed something to roll pie crusts and other pastry on that would release without me having to get too much flour into it. I found that some silpats I had for cookies worked great but were way too small. This is perfect. It has the guides like my pastry cloth for the different sizes and it allows me to turn and lift without having to heavily flour my surface. This makes for a much better pie crust.

I had had this in my wish list for a while, debating whether it was worth the purchase. I love it! The dough I have been making for several breads and pasta do not stick, even if there is no flour. This was definitely worth the price.

the most irritating thing about this mat is its permanent crease. upon further examination, you can even see it clearly in the photos on the product page. it has a persistent hump in the center, which sort of defeats the purpose of this item and makes it much more difficult to work with dough.
the ruler and circles are nice, but the mat (as mentioned in other reviews) does need to be floured every time, and since the hump won't go away, it makes it difficult to keep the central portion of your dough from sticking to the mat because the flour falls off to the sides.
mat is also extremely easy to cut, as i realized the first time i used it with a dull dough knife. oops.
save your bucks, the counter is far easier to clean. recipes are nice but surely not worth the investment.
