Amazon.com Review These Faustina glass goblets from Signature Housewares are sturdy in form, with ball-style stems that feel very comfortable to hold. The squared bowls feature delicately etched vines on the top half and vertical lines on the bottom half, a combination that nicely complements Chelsea dinnerware, also from Signature Housewares, with its square plates and similar vine motif. Faustina goblets are even tinted in shades that match Chelsea: a choice of entirely clear or with a green, amber, or pink tint on the base, stem, and lower portion of the bowl. Perfect for wine or water, the set of four dishwasher-safe, 12-ounce goblets makes an excellent gift and may be mixed and matched with different colors in the smaller eight-ounce size. --Ann Bieri

Great everyday addition to the table. September 12, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have found myself reaching for these again and again since they arrived. Mimosas for company one Sunday morning, a glass of wine with dinner later in the week. I even drink juice out of these affordable little stems. The designs etched into the bowl make these look much more expensive than the modest price I paid for them (just over a dollar per stem) so glad I stocked up.
Will they take the place of my Orrefors stemware? of course not, but for the price, I can put these to use anytime without worry- and the kids feel so grown-up drinking milk from them at dinner.
After reading the reviews that said these were 10 oz glasses, I decided to measure them myself. I filled my Pyrex 2 cup glass measuring cup up to 1 1/2 cups (12 oz) and poured this into the Faustina glass. All but one scant tablespoon fit in the glass. So while mine were just shy of 12 oz, they were over 11 oz. I am wondering if this is a quality control issue, or perhaps volume differs depending on the color. I have the clear and none of the pink or amber.
Smaller than expected September 5, 2008 I ordered 2 sets of this stemware to use for everyday glasses, thinking they were a bargain for the larger, sturdier type glassware I was imagining. I knew they were not crystal, so I thought they would be sturdy. However, these are a little smaller than 12 ounces, plus they are rather lightweight for the MSRP. The glass seems a bit thin and rather fragile for everyday drinking glasses, and would probably create nasty sharp shards when broken. For safety, I would not recommend them for use by young children. I wash these glasses in the dishwasher making sure they do not knock against anything else. The appearance is good, with lovely etching and the olive design works well with my dinnerware. The price on sale for less than $5 was just about tops for this glassware, IMO, so if they do break in day to day use, I won't feel so bad. The glasses were well-packed in bubble wrap and cardboard boxes inside another shipping box and had survived intact all the way from China.
It's not a 12 oz. glass, it's a 10 oz. glass September 3, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I ordered these particular glasses because I was looking to replace some 12 oz. water/wine glasses, and the price seemed right. Upon opening the box, the glasses seemed rather small.
I took out my Pyrex Prepware 1-Cup Measuring Cup, Clear with Red Measurements, and put 8 oz. of water into it, and then filled the glass. The glass had a bit more room so I added 2 more ounces and that topped it off. So, this is only a 10 oz. glass.
Does that make a difference? It does for me. I like a bigger glass, and wanted at least a 12-16 oz. glass.
Amazon should change these to indicate they're 10 oz. glasses, not 12 oz. glasses.
The quality of the glass was also in question. The base was off center on each of the glasses, and the glass itself is rather fragile. I don't expect they can be knocked around too much before they break.
Pink Faustina glasses July 17, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
The glasses arrived quickly. They are a bit more fragile than I thought when purchasing them, but they are quite lovely. The itching of the flowers add a bit of elegance. For the price, they were worth it as I will only use them when I have guests over........and not everyday. I would recommend either hand washing them or make sure no other dish is placed near them in the dishwasher to insure that they are not broken. I really love the pale pink color, too.
great product, poor service and incomplete shipment February 8, 2008 3 out of 10 found this review helpful
I love the glasses. They are beautiful. But I was very dissapointed by the fact that I ordered two sets, and only received one set, although the packing slip stated that my order was complete. After calling to report the problem, I was told I would receive the second complete set that I had ordered. Shortly after that, I received an email stating that the item was out of stock and could no longer be ordered. So I had to call again to request a refund since my credit card had been charged for a shipment of two sets, which I never received. In the end, I am one set short and have had to make too many phone calls. I'm still waiting to see if I receive the refund on this month's credit card statement.
